Gypsum is a natural material

Gypsum is a natural material that is perfect in terms of building biology, odourless, non-toxic and environmentally friendly. The various panels made of it are warm to the touch and project a sense of comfort. It absorbs moisture through its small pores if necessary, and re-evaporates it into the ambient air if that is excessively dry, ensuring a pleasant climate. Gypsum is a non-flammable material.

Principles of modern construction

A key goal in modern construction is to ensure that the vast majority of construction processes take place in a highly organised, high-standard industrial environment rather than on the construction site itself. At the construction site, fast and easily organisable installation activities should take place. It is also crucial to have complete structures to be built in. Each element of the building and installation work should be made available in a way that allows for the fastest and most effective work, even with the most diverse structural solutions.

Plasterboard systems

Plasterboard systems meet this requirement while also satisfying other building physics criteria thanks to the characteristics of their materials. The systems include support and framework structures required for installation, suspension elements, fasteners and binders as well as auxiliary and fixing elements needed to connect them to other building structures and install and safely fix equipment and accessories.

Characteristics and storage of plasterboard:

• Air conditioning effect: thanks to its macro-pores, plasterboard can regulate humidity in the room
• The non-flammable gypsum core provides good fire protection characteristics. The 20% crystalline water content acts as “built-in” fire water
• These structures save cost and time:their low weight allows for simpler and cheaper support structures; dry construction is a fast method that saves work and material
• The systems have good soundproofing characteristics; this enables a wide range of applications
• Plasterboard is transported properly in its factory (palletized) packaging. (When transporting the panels, always keep them horizontal.)
• Keep plasterboard panels on a flat and even surface. Keep them away from moisture
